    Frequently Asked Questions about Rings

What sizes do pearl rings come in?

To choose the right size for your pearl ring, we recommend checking our size guide and measuring the inner diameter of a ring that fits you well. At Orquídea we work with different sizes so you can find the most comfortable fit for your finger.

If you are between two sizes, it is better to choose the more comfortable one, especially with pearl rings or designs with cubic zirconia, as they need to sit well on the hand without being too tight.

How should pearl rings be cleaned?

Pearl rings should always be cleaned gently. After each use, softly wipe the surface of the pearl and the metal with a dry cotton or microfibre cloth to remove any traces of perspiration, dust or cosmetic products.

Avoid direct contact with soaps, hand creams, perfumes, hand sanitiser or cleaning products, as these can affect the natural shine of the pearl and the finish of the piece. With gold-plated rings, rhodium-plated sterling silver or cubic zirconia details, it is important not to use abrasive products or to submerge the piece in water.

To keep your ring in good condition, always store it in its original case, separately from other jewellery, avoiding knocks, rubbing or pressure on the pearl.

Which type of pearl ring should you choose for an engagement ring?

A pearl ring can be a very special choice for an engagement ring if you are looking for a piece that is elegant, delicate and carries a different kind of meaning. The pearl brings a romantic, timeless character full of personality, ideal for those who prefer something sophisticated but unconventional. Some options are Rosélis or Valén.

For this kind of occasion, white pearl rings are a classic, luminous choice. If you are after a more distinctive design, you can opt for rings with cubic zirconia, which add a subtle sparkle around the pearl, or vintage pearl rings, perfect for those who appreciate a more romantic, artisanal aesthetic. Here are a few ideas: Mirielle, Novaire or Liora.

It is also important to choose the metal according to the wearer's style: gold rings bring warmth and a more sophisticated finish, while silver rings offer a fresher, more delicate and versatile look. As this is a delicate piece, it is worth choosing a design that is comfortable, well protected and suited to how it will be worn.

How do you combine pearl rings?

Pearl rings work very well with simple jewellery, especially small earrings such as Cyréor, fine necklaces such as Umbra or delicate bracelets such as Albare. If the ring has a statement pearl or cubic zirconia details, it is best to pair it with more discreet pieces to keep the balance.

For a more classic style, you can combine it with jewellery in the same metal, gold or silver. For a more contemporary look, pearl rings such as Lessa also work very well mixed with minimalist designs or pieces with organic lines.
