THE ORIGIN OF PERLAS ORQUÍDEA

In 1952, D. Juan María Forgas, founder of the family business, developed his own formula capable of reproducing by hand the process by which cultured pearls are created. This is how the Orquídea organic pearl was born, made one by one with a singular method carefully perfected over time.

From that moment on, the brand began to build an identity based on quality, the beauty of the pearl and respect for artisan processes.

Every piece is the result of a careful process in which technique, material selection and attention to detail come together to shape unique jewellery.

FROM THE NUCLEUS TO THE FINAL SHINE

Every pearl begins with the creation of a fused opaline core, a balanced and resilient base on which the following stages of production are built. From there, the piece receives successive coatings of natural pigments and special lacquers, applied with precision to achieve depth, lustre and the finish that is characteristic of Orquídea: a luminous, elegant and long-lasting pearl.

CARE FOR EVERY DETAIL

After the creation process, the Orquídea artisans carefully sort every pearl. This inspection makes it possible to detect any imperfection and select only those pieces that meet the brand's quality standards.

This artisan gesture is essential to guarantee that every piece of jewellery retains the delicacy, balance and beauty that define Perlas Orquídea.

PEARLS MADE TO LAST

Before becoming part of a piece of jewellery, the pearls go through a rapid ageing chamber. This step tests their strength and ensures that every piece keeps its qualities over time.

THE PEARL BECOMES JEWELLERY

The process culminates in the design and making of each piece of jewellery. The organic-looking pearls are combined with fine metals and precious stones to shape the different pieces.

The result is handcrafted jewellery that reinterprets the tradition of the pearl through a contemporary, elegant lens, deeply connected to the history of Orquídea.
